Useful Information

WE PROVIDE:
Bed-linen, towels, cooking utensils, fridge, microwave or electric cooker. We also provide washing-up liquid, cleaning materials, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil.

YOU ARE ADVISED TO BRING WITH YOU:
Walking boots or strong shoes, warmer clothing than you might wear in town, and also waterproof clothing. A torch and a hot water bottle can be useful. Users of electric razors should bring an adaptor. You also need to provide all your own food (unless you request a cooked main meal during IGR period). Supermarkets and shops are available in Brecon (10 minutes by car). Those who travel by public transport can be taken to the shops shortly after arrival.

CHAPEL AND MASS/EUCHARIST:
We have a small Chapel which is always open for private prayer, and also used once per day for communal prayer - 1/2 hour of contemplative prayer led by one of the community. We do not have Mass here on a regular basis. Week-day Mass is available some days in Brecon, but we are not able to offer a lift during the week to those who do not have a car. We do always arrange to offer a lift into Brecon for church services on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. Times of services in other churches can be checked by phone.
